The national park visit lasts approximately 5 hours, with flexible walking options tailored to guests and weather conditions. After departing Launceston, enjoy a brief stop in Sheffield, the town of murals. Continue your mountain journey to Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake, where you'll have about 5 hours for walking. Pink granite mountains frame the secluded bay, pristine waters, white sandy beaches, local wildlife, and walking trails. Travel along Tasmania's east coast to Freycinet National Park, passing through the coastal towns of Orford and Swansea. Upon arrival, join a group walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout, where your guide will assist in capturing those coveted photos. From the lookout, you may choose to return with the guide or, for avid walkers, complete the hike to Wineglass Beach (approximately two hours round trip). If you opt to stay with the guide, explore more of the national park, including Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay, and Cape Tourville Lookout, as well as the Great Short Walk. After spending four to five hours in Freycinet National Park, continue your journey to Launceston.

  • Day 3 - Depart from Hobart to the stunning Tasman Peninsula, home to Australia's highest sea cliffs. Take in panoramic views from the Pirates Bay Lookout, admire the fascinating Tasman Arch and Devil's Kitchen rock formations, and enjoy a short but spectacular walk along the Waterfall Bay cliff-top trail. Next, visit the Tasmanian Devil Zoo for an encounter with these beloved local wildlife icons. Then, proceed to the Port Arthur Historic Site, where you'll have approximately two and a half hours to explore. Your entry includes a complimentary harbor cruise to the Isle of the Dead and a guided walking tour led by one of the site's expert guides. On the return to Hobart, pass through the charming historic village of Richmond, with time to stroll its streets and walk across Australia's oldest bridge.
